Convention Session News! *NEW*

Representatives from The Home Depot will be speaking at the March convention!

This unique session will be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 2:30 pm – 3:20 pm will feature “The Home Depot Purchasing Program: How it Works.”

Moderated by Les Cunningham from Business Networks, RIA convention attendees will hear from John Gordon, Director of Pro Business Operations, The Home Depot and Daniel Stehlar, National Account Manager, Home Depot Pro.

(And this is just one of many informative and interesting sessions scheduled for RIA’s Annual Convention!)

For 2010, the RIA Convention & Exhibition will focus on the theme of health and safety – addressing a wide variety of subjects on that broad subject as it specifically affects the restoration industry.

Keynote speaker, Dr. Barbara Manis, will tackle the topic of health awareness and safety with dramatic, real-life case studies that everyone can learn from.

Providing an event that will be packed with useful information to your business and staff, RIA Speakers will dig into:

  • OSHA and EPA differences
  • Legal developments in health and safety
  • Unknown hazards and appropriate protection
  • And cleaning for healthy environments (to mention just a few break-out sessions! )

Along with health and safety topics, we’ll continue to add to the mix with business sessions such as:

  • Finding and Placing Good Employees
  • Ethical People = Ethical Companies
  • Proven Collection Techniques
  • Preparing Your Best Exit Strategy to name a few. (Make sure to check out the full Schedule on our Convention webpage!)

Keynote speaker, Dan Coughlin will address how to successfully lead a team for maximum impact and raise the bar for your employees and customers through his entertaining and insightful address.

And you won’t want to miss additional “Wild-Card” breakouts on

  • Restoration of Historical Roofs
  • Residential Nightmares: Dealing with Condo Losses
  • Unique and Unusual Drying Situations
  • Coupled with some really fantastic pre- and post- workshops!

Over a four-day period, RIA offers more than 90 hours of education, exhibitions and networking opportunities, the perfect reason to bring multiple staff members so they can participate in everything the Convention has to offer. Again, please check out our full Session Schedule for complete program details.

It’s an event your company truly can’t afford to miss!
