All RIA Certificants are required to maintain a total of (32) continuing education contact hours within their three-year certification cycle. RIA Approved CEC Course Provider status is by calendar year. Registration expires on December 31 of the calendar year for which a sponsor has registered.  For a program to be considered for Continuing Education Credits (CEC) and to become an RIA Approved CEC Course Provider, organizations must submit program applications for review.   Program content must relate to one or more of the Domains of Knowledge or Body of Knowledge areas for the CR, CMP, or WLS certifications.

CEC Programs must meet the following requirements:

  • Program content must be current, correct, and presented in an appropriate design and format.
  • A Subject Matter expert intimately knowledgeable about the topic much be involved in the authorship and review of a program.
  • Specific company and product presentations are not eligible for CEC.

If your organization is accepted as an approved RIA Continuing Education Course provider, your program will be added to the upcoming events calendar on the Restoration Industry Association website. Approved RIA Continuing Education Course providers are also granted permission to use the RIA logo as specified below in digital and print marketing materials for this course. This approval for the use of the RIA logo does not apply to any other courses offered by IAQA; a separate application and approval will be required for any additional courses.

Therefore, the Sponsor agrees to the following terms and conditions of this limited use license:

  1. All policies and guidelines will be followed as outlined in this document.
  2. The RIA logo remains the property of RIA at all times.
  3. The sponsor is not authorized to use the logo for any programs or services other than those herein named in this approval letter.
  4. The Sponsor agrees to include the following tag line immediately after the RIA logo with no intervening verbiage between the logo and the statement: “Approved for RIA continuing education credit by the Restoration Industry Association.”
  5. The logo may be displayed utilizing either RIA’s official logo colors, red and black, black only, or white reverse and must be used as a single unit in its entirety.
  6. The Sponsor agrees that the logo will not be positioned so as to imply an endorsement of the Sponsor’s program(s) by RIA. If the Sponsor does not comply, immediate revocation of RIA’s CEC approval will transpire.
