Choose Your Approach to Restoration Training

Are your restoration employees not performing as expected? Chances are they're either struggling with a lack of motivation or a lack of training, the latter of which is true if they genuinely lack the know-how to complete a task correctly. Invest in your employees by providing training. There are many different ways to train, all of which are appropriate for different situations. The most common form of training is "Watch and Learn" training, in which you have a more experienced employee show a new employee how something is done. This form of training is appropriate for simpler, more administrative positions and tasks. Another way to train is to document. This includes separating a task or role into its most basic elements and putting this into a shareable document or procedure. The third method of training is classroom-style instruction. Technical training is often offered by RIA, IICRC and ICRA, and these classes often work toward certifications or designations. The final method of training is online learning. Larger organizations may want to develop their own courses, but there are many pre-created courses available for purchase.
