Restoration Industry Association (RIA) Celebrates 2024 Phoenix Award Winners

Mt. Laurel, NJ, April 2024 - The RIA is pleased to announce our Phoenix Award Winners for Innovation in Remediation/Restoration and Innovation in Reconstruction. Throughout history, fires, floods, and other disasters have inflicted devastation upon human lives, homes, and possessions. Those who restore damaged property play a pivotal role in alleviating the personal tragedy and stress that accompany such disasters. Professional restorers dedicate themselves to efficiently restoring damaged property, providing an indispensable human service. The Restoration Industry Association’s Phoenix Awards for Innovation in Restoration and Reconstruction recognize exceptional contributions in property restoration.

RIA’s 2024 Innovation in Restoration and Remediation Phoenix Award Winner is Kelmann Restoration for their work on the Muskego Norway School District’s Bay Lane Elementary school fire restoration project. Kelmann Restoration Project Manager Melissa Buckler and her team created a comprehensive plan allowing the school to close for just one week and keep the key stakeholders, the students, in class and learning on schedule.

“The team members of Kelmann Restoration are honored to have been selected to receive what is our 7th RIA Phoenix Award. The Bay Lane Elementary School fire project was extremely rewarding for our group of restoration professionals. Tom Kelly and his team have built Kelmann to undertake events exactly like the Bay Lane fire. So, to complete a project of this scope, within the time frame required, validates that all of the preparation and training has paid off. Also, this award caps off an extraordinary year for Kelmann as we move into our next half-century of restoration excellence.”

RIA’s 2024 Innovation in Reconstruction Phoenix Award Winner is ATI Restoration, LLC for their work on the Trailpoint at Woodlands apartment complex water damage reconstruction project. ATI Restoration Project Manager Jeff Allen led his team through a massive reconstruction job during the holiday season to give more than 120 residents their homes back as quickly as possible.

“We are incredibly proud and honored to accept the prestigious RIA Phoenix Award,” said Ritchy Fuentes, ATI Restoration Regional Manager – Houston. “This recognition is not just a testament to our team's restoration expertise and hard work, but also a symbol of the resilience and spirit of collaboration that defines our industry. This award is dedicated to all ATI employees who aid in rebuilding lives and communities with compassion, empathy, and perseverance.”

The RIA is proud to recognize and celebrate the achievements of these 2024 Phoenix Award winners to shine a light on the tremendous impact restorers have on the lives of the communities they serve.
