Representing RIA at IICRC
RIA Shareholder Representative to IICRC

“How do you know, at the end of the day, if you had a good day?”
Those of you who know me well know that’s a question I like to ask. This week, I asked two members of the IICRC marketing team. I was thrilled with their response. They knew their goals, understood their responsibilities, and could explain what a good day looked like in their work.
I appreciated that clarity and give credit to those two men and the leadership supporting them. We each have a role in the success of our families, our organizations, and our industry.
I was there as RIA’s shareholder representative to the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC). I’m humbled by that responsibility and grateful for the opportunity to bring your perspective into the room.
After months of calls, emails, and shared work, it was a pleasure to finally meet many of these industry leaders face to face. I truly appreciated their welcome and the opportunity to sit together, exchange ideas, and speak on behalf of our members.
RIA and IICRC are working hard to collaborate where our priorities align. I expect us to set clear objectives, build on each organization’s strengths, and agree on tangible next steps. Our conversations about growth and advocacy should lead to practical work that advances our industry. That is how I believe we turn a good conversation into a good day’s work.
Thank you for allowing me to serve. And thank you to my fellow shareholder representatives, the IICRC Board, leadership, and staff for a valuable week. I left proud to represent RIA, grateful for the relationships we are building, and ready to follow through on the work ahead.
