Restoration and remediation firms need to assess what clients think about their services and employees on at least an annual basis. This should be incorporated into the annual business performance evaluation for the previous year, so the firm has a better understanding of what strategies and steps should be taken to improve business performance. Michael Wilson with AFFLINK recommends sending out an anonymous survey to ask customers why they chose the firm, how the firm differs from its competitors, what their favorite part about this business relationship is, what they do not want the business to stop doing, how the business could improve even if it is a small change, and what holds them back from recommending the business to others. "The goal now is to look for trends," Wilson says.
